ICYMI: RideWise News: Joshua M. Throws the first pitch at a Somerset Patriots game
By Donna Allison, RideWise
For National Bike & Walk to School Month, RideWise and North Plainfield held a poster contest to teach students about pedestrian and cycling safety. Participating students designed posters demonstrating how to stay safe while walking and biking. Winning the grand prize was Joshua M., who received four tickets to a Somerset Patriots game and threw out the first pitch at the May 20 game.
Out of dozens of submissions, Joshua used his knowledge gained from Safe Routes to School programming and his artistic abilities to win the poster contest.
