Somerset County Office of Volunteer Services Seeks Tutors

SOMERVILLE, NJ – The Somerset County Office of Volunteer Services is seeking volunteers to help students who are struggling on their path to academic achievement. Volunteer tutors can help boost a child’s confidence and help them reach their academic potential.

In this program, volunteers will work directly with the counselors and teachers who request tutors for their students. Tutors are needed for a variety of subjects, ages, and grade levels, and their skills and knowledge will be matched according to the student’s needs. After the student is paired with a tutor, a schedule will be arranged by the tutor and the family. All sessions will be held at a local public library.

To become a volunteer tutor, send an email to jdambeck@co.somerset.nj.us, and include what subject and grade level you prefer, as well as what towns are convenient to travel.

For more information, contact Jennifer Dambeck, Somerset County Office of Volunteer Services, at 908-704-6301.
