Culture Club: The Mayflower Hotel and White House Historical Association Debut ‘White House History Shop at The Mayflower Hotel’ To Kick Off the Holiday Season

Nov. 15, 2022 (Washington, D.C.) – The Mayflower Hotel, Autograph Collection and the White House Historical Association announced the opening of the White House History Shop at The Mayflower Hotel, an in-person holiday pop-up store featuring the Official 2022 White House Christmas Ornament and an assortment of keepsake holiday gifts honoring the rich White House history. Stewart McLaurin, President of the White House Historical Association, Shelly DiMeglio, General Manager of The Mayflower Hotel, Autograph Collection and Leona Agouridis, Executive Director of Golden Triangle BID held a ribbon cutting ceremony on November 14 to celebrate the launch.

Along with this year’s ornament, which represents the cherished White House tradition of displaying a gingerbread house each holiday in the State Dining Room, additional holiday gifts available for purchase at the White House History Shop at The Mayflower Hotel include: the White House Gingerbread Kit, White House greeting cards depicting the gingerbread display, and two candles, the Jacqueline Candle, a rose and sandalwood candle inspired by First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy’s favorite scent and the Gingerbread Candle, which features a warm, comforting scent of gingerbread made in partnership with the Harlem Candle Company.
