The Somerset Community Action Program and some of NJ’s finest from Manville, Bridgewater, Franklin, Hillsborough & County Sheriff’s PD’s and Walmart for hosting the 2nd Annual "Shop with a Cop". The Grinch and Santa Claus made appearances as well.
About - The Somerset Community Action Program, Inc. (SCAP) was established in 1965 as one of the first community action programs nationwide set to implement the Economic Opportunities Act and is a member of the Community Action Partnership National Association. From its inception, the leadership of SCAP has been motivated by progressivism with a strong commitment to community participation in the decision-making process and in shaping the programs and institutions that were set up to serve them.
SCAP is the designated community action agency for Somerset County, New Jersey and has been serving Somerset County residents since its inception. Our childhood, youth, family, and community services are developed with the community in mind with the goal of helping individuals and families living at or below the poverty line to achieve self-sufficiency.
