SOMERSET COUNTY 4-H HOSTS FAMILY GAME DAY

Bridgewater, New Jersey – 4-H of Somerset County will be hosting a Family Game Day on Saturday, January 28 th , 2023. The event will take place at the Ted Blum 4-H Center – 310 Milltown Rd, Bridgewater,NJ – and will run from 11 am to 5 pm.

The event will feature classic board games such as (but not limited to) Sorry, Ticket to Ride, Guess Who,Yahtzee and will also feature Life Size Games, Dungeons & Dragons, and more. Additionally, there will be a silent auction and a prize counter. This event is open to all, and costs $5 at the door, with price of admission supporting the 4-H Senior Council – a teen club that focuses primarily on community service.

Food will be available for purchase and will be provided by the 4-H Crazy Frog Hoppers Double Dutch club.

In 4H programs, youth complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture, and civic engagement in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. Youth experience 4H in every county in the country through in-school and after-school programs, clubs, and camps.

The 4-H Youth Development Program is part of Rutgers, New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station -Cooperative Extension. 4-H educational programs are offered to all youth, grades K-13(one year out of high school), on an age-appropriate basis, without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, disability, atypical hereditary cellular or blood trait, marital status, domestic partnership status, military service, veteran status and any other category protected by law.
