Commissioner Sightings: Somerset County Commissioner Deputy Director shared Somerset County's plans for celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence

Commissioner Melonie Marano shared Somerset County's plans for celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence at the most recent Middlebrook Symposium this weekend. Commissioner Marano shared the RVCC stage with historians, non-profit leaders, and Noah Lewis who portrayed Continental Army teamster Ned Hector. 

The Middlebrook Symposia examine the importance of Somerset County's Middlebrook Encampments to the success of George Washington's army during the Revolutionary War, and is organized by more than a dozen historical organizations with funding from Somerset County's Cultural and Heritage Commission.
