Somerset County Offers Free Naloxone Trainings This Fall

Somerset County is continuing its commitment to community safety with a series of free Naloxone (Narcan) trainings this fall, giving residents the tools to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose. Led by staff from the Richard Hall Community Health and Wellness Center, each session covers how to administer Narcan nasal spray, how to identify the signs of an overdose, and New Jersey’s Good Samaritan Law — which protects individuals who call for help during an emergency.

Several upcoming dates are available, both virtual and in-person:

• September 29, 2026 at 6 p.m. (Virtual)
• October 1, 2026 at 6 p.m. at Richard Hall Community Health & Wellness Center, 500 North Bridge Street, Bridgewater
• November 24, 2026 at 6 p.m. (Virtual)

All attendees receive a free Narcan kit after completing the training. For additional dates or questions, residents can email heal@somersetcountynj.gov.

These trainings are part of Somerset County’s ongoing effort to equip neighbors with life‑saving knowledge — strengthening community awareness, preparedness, and support for those affected by the opioid crisis.
