Voters have 3 ways to cast their votes in New Jersey Elections This Year
TRENTON, NJ, October 6, 2026 – New Jersey is working to make voting safe, simple, and secure for all eligible voters for the upcoming November 3 General Election.
New Jersey is providing three convenient ways to vote, with additional information on each available at VOTE.NJ.GOV:
- At Polling Place on General Election Day
- In-Person Early Voting
- Using a Mail-in Ballot
“Providing clear, accessible information is key to ensuring every eligible voter in New Jersey has the opportunity to participate in our democracy,” said Division of Elections Director Donna Barber. “Voters have options and can choose the method that works best for them — whether that is voting early in-person from Saturday, October 24 through Sunday, November 1, voting by mail, or casting their ballot on General Election Day, November 3.”
Barber added, “The VOTE.NJ.GOV website is a great resource for all voting information. Voters can easily find registration status, polling place locations, early voting sites, and secure ballot drop boxes. VOTE.NJ.GOV is user-friendly and truly a one-stop portal for everything voters need to know.”
Below are details and important dates on the three ways to vote in the upcoming General Election:
- At Local Polling Place on General Election Day
Eligible, registered voters can cast their ballots in-person at their polling place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on General Election Day, Tuesday, November 3.
Accommodations will be made for voters with disabilities.

In-Person Early Voting allows all eligible, registered voters to cast their ballots in-person, using a voting machine during the in-person early voting period prior to Election Day. Voters can choose to cast their ballots when it’s most convenient for their schedule.
Voters can cast their ballots at any of their county’s designated in-person early voting sites from Saturday, October 24 through Sunday, November 1. Hours will be Monday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. and Sunday, 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Early voting sites can be found at VOTE.NJ.GOV.
3. Using a Mail-in Ballot

- Voters can also apply in person at the County Clerk’s Office by 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2 for the Tuesday, November 3 General Election. Contact information for County Clerk offices is available at VOTE.NJ.GOV.
