The Paul Robeson Institute for Ethics, Leadership, and Social Justice at Raritan Valley Community College will host a special performance of Stogie Kenyatta in The World is My Home—The Life of Paul Robeson, Saturday, May 7, at 7:30 p.m. The event will be held in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus.
The Los Angeles-based, one-man show, written by Stogie Kenyatta, has been performed at museums, churches, and theater festivals from Miami to Hollywood, as well as at United States Embassies around the world. Kenyatta uses theater as a vehicle to educate the public about the life and impact of Paul Robeson as a person who fought for social justice.
Proceeds from the event will benefit RVCC’s Paul Robeson Institute to assist in continuing education programming and events for the community.
Tickets cost $25 for general admission, $20 for seniors. There is no charge for RVCC students. Tickets may be purchased at the RVCC Box Office, 908-725-3420, or purchased online at https://ci.ovationtix.com/36121/production/1122329
RVCC is located at 118 Lamington Road in Branchburg, NJ. For further information, visit www.raritanval.edu.
