Raritan Borough Police Department Investigates an Unidentified Male While Juvenile at the Bus Stop

The Raritan Borough Police Department is investigating a suspicious incident that occurred on May 6th, 2022.At 4:16 p.m., Patrol Officers along with members of the Criminal Investigation Division were dispatched to a residence on Old York Road, after receiving a report of an unidentified male that made unwanted contact with a juvenile female. The juvenile indicated that shortly after being let off her school bus at 2:20 p.m. at the corner of Weiss Terrace and Old York Road, she was approached by a male who had a brief conversation with her. During the course of the conversation, the male grabbed a hold of her hand and attempted to kiss it. The juvenile pulled her hand away and proceeded to her residence. The juvenile indicated the male proceeded to walk west on Old York Road towards the Bradley Gardens section of Bridgewater Township.The male was described as a 40-50 year old Hispanic male wearing a Jean Jacket, approximately 5’3’’ to 5’6’’ tall and having a thin mustache with dark hair on his head.As officers canvassed the area, they received an unconfirmed report of a male matching this description that approached an adult female on May 4th near the Liquor Barn. The male asked the woman if “she liked Hispanic men”.If you have information regarding these two incidents, you are asked to call us at (908)725-6700.
