Peddler’s Village Presents Special July Events

Lahaska, PA — Peddler’s Village, a countryside shopping, dining, lodging, and family entertainment destination in the heart of historic Bucks County, PA, will host its annual Red, White, & Blue BBQ Bash, an all-American celebration and picnic on July 2 through 4, followed by Bluegrass & Blueberries on July weekends starting July 9. Both events, which are free and open to the public, will feature live entertainment and free concerts, pay-as-you-go outdoor food and drinks, and family activities. These July events will complement a free summer-long display of event large sand sculptures created by four world-renowned master sand sculpting teams.

The Red, White, & Blue BBQ Bash will feature an all-American-style picnic with classic barbeque food available for purchase, as well as live music. On Saturday, July 2, from 5-7 p.m., guests can enjoy a free outdoor concert by up-and-coming country musicians Martin and Kelly. The duo has been a supporting act for Willie Nelson, Little Big Town, Alabama, The Band Perry, and Brad Paisley, among others. The Galena Brass Band will be performing each day, and the Cheddar Boys will be performing on Sunday afternoon. On Monday, July 4, guests can take part in old-fashioned games, including a three-legged race and water balloon toss as well as the annual watermelon eating contest.

Bluegrass & Blueberries kicks off on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10 with a lineup of local and regionally known bluegrass and country musicians, including The Birdhouse Borderline, Flint Hill Express, Martin and Kelly, Station Hill Bluegrass and The Birdhouse Center for the Arts, featuring Justin & Bronwyn. Peddler’s Village will also host entertainers and family activities that will include magic and bubble shows, kids crafts, outdoor games, and food trucks. Village restaurants will be offering blueberry-themed food and drink specials during Bluegrass & Blueberries, and outdoor concession stands, including the Water Wheel Food Tent, will be serving food specials, blueberry treats and pies, and Bluegrass & Blueberries-themed merchandise. Weekend entertainment and family activities will also take place through July 31.

Bluegrass & Blueberries highlights include:

  • Locally grown blueberries and a variety of blueberry treats including blueberry pies and blueberry butters, will be available for purchase weekends through July at the Visitor & Event Center. Blueberry-flavored sweet treats will be available through the month at the Lucky Cupcake Company and the Water Wheel Tent.
  • Sweet and savory blueberry-inspired dishes and drinks will be available from Village restaurants, which include Earl’s New American, Buttonwood Grill, Cock ‘n Bull, Hart’s Tavern, Peddler’s Pub, FresCafe, and Mama Hawk’s.
  • Live bluegrass entertainment and family activities will take place every weekend (weather permitting).

Other upcoming events at Peddler’s Village include: Peach Month in August, including a Sidewalk Sale on August 6 and 7; a free community event on August 2, National Night Out, in partnership with the Buckingham Township Police Department; a Beer Dinner on July 28 with local brewery Free Will Brewing Company; and Food Truck Thursdays on July 28, August 25, and September 29.
