After eight years as a staple in Downtown Somerville, Salted Lime will soon close its doors — a decision owner Mark describes as both difficult and deeply personal. For more than two decades, the restaurant industry has been his world, and choosing to step away marks the end of a meaningful chapter.
Salted Lime’s final day of service will be Friday, October 30, 2026, and guests are encouraged to redeem any outstanding gift cards before that date. Until then, Mark and his team will continue doing what they’ve always done: serving food, pouring drinks, and welcoming the community that has supported them from day one.
In his message, Mark expressed heartfelt gratitude to the staff — past and present — whose dedication shaped the restaurant’s identity, and to the countless guests who made Salted Lime part of their routines, celebrations, and nights out in Somerville.
A new restaurant is already preparing to take Salted Lime’s place, and early hints suggest something fresh and exciting is on the horizon for Main Street. Mark extended his best wishes to the incoming owners, confident they will bring new energy to a town that embraces its small businesses with pride.
