Brook Arts Center Youth Theater Presents Sweeny Todd

The Brook Arts Center Youth Theater is opening its doors this August to one of musical theater’s most thrilling tales — and the spotlight belongs entirely to its young performers. This historic venue, a cornerstone of Somerset County’s arts community, is proudly introducing the cast of Sweeney Todd: School Edition, a company of rising talent who have poured months of dedication into bringing Stephen Sondheim’s dark, unforgettable masterpiece to life.

From the first rehearsal to the final polish, these students have embraced the challenge of Sondheim’s intricate score and the show’s dramatic storytelling. Their commitment shows in every scene, every harmony, and every moment they share on stage. It’s a production shaped by passion, teamwork, and the kind of youthful energy that reminds us why community theater matters.
