Hillsborough Residents Can Learn More about Hillsborough Township Government

Would you like to learn more about your local government or the offices within the Municipal Building? New Jersey Local Government Week begins next week.

It is New Jersey Local Government Week, organized by the New Jersey State League of Municipalities.

During the week of April 7-13, all 565 municipalities in the Garden State will engage citizens and celebrate local government. The purpose of New Jersey Local Government Week is to enhance civic engagement and promote awareness of the essential services provided by local government. The goals of this initiative are to foster a sense of community, educate residents about their local government, and encourage citizen participation in decision-making processes.

During this time, Hillsborough Township will host a scavenger hunt for residents of all ages. Here's how it works: Participants will follow clues that lead them to different departments, where they can read about what each department does, ask questions, and pick up the next clue. Prizes and certificates will be awarded to everyone who completes the scavenger hunt.
