The Raritan Borough Police Department announced the following arrests as a result of recent police activity:
On October 29th, 2022 at 5:03 p.m., Raritan officers were dispatched to Frelinghuysen Park on Sherman Ave on a report of individuals drinking alcohol and breaking glass. As a result of an investigation by patrol officers, Susan Rettino, 57, who does not have an address, was charged with Lewdness (urinating in public) and possession of alcohol in a borough park. Rettino’s boyfriend, Christopher Browne, 35, who does not have an address, was also charged with possession of alcohol in a borough park. Court appearances are pending for both.
On November 1st, 2022, Giselle Quintero, 27, of Raritan, was charged with Package Theft. As a result of an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division, it was determined that Quintero had stolen a package valued at $135.00 from the Raritan Crossing Apartment Complex on October 25th. An arrest warrant was issued for Quintero.
On November 4th, 2022 at 4:22 a.m., Raritan officers were dispatched to the Quick Chek on West Somerset Street on a report of a disorderly person. On scene, officers observed Susan Rettino, 57, who does not have an address, screaming as she walked across the parking lot. Officers had prior knowledge the Rettino had been trespassed from the Quick Chek previously. Rettino was charged with Trespassing and released pending a court appearance.
On November 6th, 2022 at 10:34 p.m., Marvin Nunez-Navarro, 21, of Bridgewater, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Old York Road. Navarro was also charged with Reckless Driving and Failure to Maintain Lane.
On November 7th, 2022 at 10:22 p.m., Raritan officers were dispatched to a residence on Anderson Street for an assault. As a result of their investigation, a 57 year old Raritan man was arrested for Domestic Violence Simple Assault and lodged in the Somerset County Jail.
On November 13th at 12:40 a.m., Nicole Burke, 33, of Bridgewater, was arrested for Hindering Apprehension and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (cut straw with heroin residue) following a motor vehicle stop on Route 28. Burke provided officers with a false name to conceal the fact she had an arrest warrant issued by the City of Elizabeth. Burke was processed and released.
On November 14th at 3:45 p.m., Carlos Obregon, 57, of Raritan, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Anderson Street. A patrol officer had observed Obregon traveling at a high rate of speed on Anderson Street prior to the stop. Obregon was charged with numerous motor vehicle offenses and released pending a court appearance.
