BRIDGEWATER – Members of the Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School (SCVTHS) chapter of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), a student organization for future health professionals, recently completed a fundraising drive to support breast cancer research.

HOSA club members collected dollar donations from members of the school and community. Donors then filled out a Celebration of Life Birthday Card, which was added to the Celebration of Life Wall outside the school’s guidance office.

The students raised $780 for “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer,” a national campaign sponsored by the American Cancer Society. This is a new record for the SCVTHS HOSA chapter, which has been running the event for around 15 years.
