Somerset County Park Commission Announces Annual Free Independence Day Fireworks, Concert
SOMERSET, NJ -- The Somerset County Park Commission announced its annual Independence Day Concert and Fireworks to be held at North Branch Park in Bridgewater on the Fourth of July. The Park gates will open at 6 p.m. for families to set up blankets, chairs, and other picnic items in preparation for the community celebration and the fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.“We are proud to offer the annual fireworks display at North Branch Park to honor our nation and our community with our friends, family, and neighbors,” said Somerset County Commissioner Melonie Marano. “This is an opportunity for family and friends to gather together and celebrate our country's 249th birthday.”Yacht Rock Gold Experience will perform memorable hits of the decades from the 70s up to the latest chart toppers from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Yacht Rock Gold Experience engages fans with the smooth sounds of the Doobie Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, Christopher Cross, Kenny Loggins, Little River Band, Ambrosia, Boz Scaggs, and many more.Additionally, the NJ 3rd Regiment Revolutionary War encampment reenactors will be on site to demonstrate New Jersey’s vital place in helping the Continental Army delivery victory in the Revolutionary War.Food trucks will be available and picnic baskets are permitted, but alcohol is prohibited. Personal fireworks are not allowed.The concert kicks off the 2025 Summer Concert Series which will then move to Duke Island Park each Sunday until August 3rd. From classic rock to jazz, country to salsa, each concert promises a memorable summer experience. Admission and parking are free for the following shows that run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.:
- July 6: Funk Salsa Urban
- July 13: Southern Steel
- July 20: American Soul
- July 27: Big Hix
- August 3: 80s Revolution
