Flemington, NJ — The Flemington‑Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad recently received a generous donation from Mrs. Sally Walker of Glen Gardner, funding the purchase of specialized large‑animal rescue equipment.
The new equipment will support both the Rescue Squad and the Hunterdon County Urban Search & Rescue (US&R) Task Force in safely lifting and moving horses and other livestock during emergency incidents. Over the past year, the Rescue Squad and US&R teams have responded to several large‑animal rescues, and this added capability will further strengthen their response and safety operations.
The Hunterdon County US&R Task Force is a joint effort between the Flemington‑Raritan Rescue Squad, South Branch Emergency Services, Whitehouse Rescue Squad, and the Hunterdon County Department of Public Safety—a partnership that continues to enhance regional emergency preparedness.
The Rescue Squad extends its sincere thanks to Mrs. Walker for her support and commitment to community safety.
