Claybash 2023 in the main gallery, marks the first in a series of triennial exhibitions showcasing a diverse range of contemporary ceramics from innovative artists across the U.S., as noted on the website.
Jennifer Martin, executive director of The Clay Studio in Philadelphia, served as the 2023 juror. The "Claybash" exhibition has been named one of the Top 12 NJ Art Exhibitions of the Year by Tris McCall on NJArts.
"Claybash" was hailed as "a playground for experimental clay-shapers and textile artists — full of color, thunder, impertinence and defiance of expectations."
"Claybash" was physically on view from May 21 to September 3, 2023, and the experience continues online. You can take a virtual exhibition tour on the website here: https://www.hunterdonartmuseum.org/virtual/claybash-2023/
