Culture Club - January is Muslim Heritage Month
“Muslim American Heritage” celebrates the contributions of Americans of Muslim heritage to the United States from its founding through the present.In 2022, the New Jersey state legislature passed a joint resolution designating January of each year as “Muslim Heritage Month” in the state of New Jersey1.
With this designation, the state and its residents can respectfully acknowledge and promote awareness and appreciation of Muslim Americans and recognize the many contributions made by the state's Muslim community. As part of NJ Muslim Heritage Month, the NJ Muslim Heritage Coalition aims to celebrate, educate, and promote the contributions of Muslims to New Jersey's culture and history. The organization organizes events, initiatives, and educational programs that focus on the diverse tapestry of Muslim heritage to foster understanding, appreciation, and unity among diverse communities.
