Local Entertaiment and History: Raritan Public Library Variety of Adult Programming with a Global Feel
The Raritan Public Library is offering a variety of adult programming this winter to keep you warm and intellectually stimulated. The free programs offered are lectures by travelers, historians, and more. Many are listed on the Raritan Neighbors NJ calendar but here's a spotlight on some events that may interest you:
Love history and reenactments - entertainer Matthew Dodd takes adult listeners back in time to "Old Canal Days" on Saturday, January 18th, at 1 pm.
The Most Unusual Parole Cases with Dr. John M. Paitakes a member of the New Jersey State Parole Board. He'll discuss unusual and horrendous crimes committed by parole-eligible inmates on January 2r3rd.
Take a trip on Monday, January 27, at 6:30 pm with professional traveler Chris McCormack as he returns to talk about his 6-week trip across Mongolia on a motorcycle titled, "Motorcycling Across Mongolia!
There are also the staples - Recipe Club, Book Clubs, Mahjong, and other ways to socialize with Raritan Neighbors for adults this winter.
