American Water Inclusion and Diversity Scholarship Still Accepting Applicants

American Water is accepting applications through January 31 for the 2024 Inclusion and Diversity Scholarship. Awards will be distributed to students within America Water’s national footprint, continuing their education in a non-medical STEM or business-related field.

American Water is proud to provide equitable educational opportunities for students across our national footprint through the Inclusion and Diversity Scholarship. This scholarship is part of the continued commitment to being an inclusive, diverse, and equitable company and supports future leaders of tomorrow.

The American Water Inclusion and Diversity Scholarship is awarding scholarships of $10,000 each to students in the states where American Water operates. The Scholarship is designed to support the educational aspirations of students who represent lived experiences and backgrounds that are underrepresented in the utility industry and who value the advancement of inclusion and diversity in all aspects of society.

The scholarship is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
