Raritan Borough Police Blotter - Arrests and Moto Vehicle Thefts

Chief Raymond Nolte announced the following arrests and charges: Deondre Gadson, 21, of Somerville, was arrested for Motor Vehicle Theft as a result of an investigation conducted by the Criminal Investigation Division. 

On December 30th, 2023 Raritan Patrol Officers were dispatched to a residence on Frelinghuysen Ave for a motor vehicle theft that had occurred overnight. On January 10th, 2024 the stolen vehicle was recovered by the Branchburg Township Police at the Regency Trailer Park. 

Through various investigative means by Det. Sgt. Benjamin Griffin, Gadson was identified as a suspect. Gadson was recently lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing. Kemeh Conteh, 41, of North Brunswick, was arrested and charged with Simple Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Developmentally Disabled Person as a result of an investigation conducted by the Criminal Investigation Division. 

An investigation revealed that on January 26th, 2024, Conteh was driving a client to an appointment in Raritan when the client suffered a behavioral episode. Conteh proceeded to choke the client, causing abrasions around the client's neck. Conteh also threatened to kill the client. Conteh was arrested and released on a complaint summons.

Note: All defendants are presumed to be innocent unless they are found guilty at the conclusion of the judicial process.
