Shah sisters will tee up in pursuit of girls' golf state title at Raritan Valley
Sisters Vaidehi Shah and Yashvi Shah of Bridgewater-Raritan High School will tee it up on their familiar course when these two girl golfers shot for a state championship on Tuesday, May 14.
Raritan Valley Country Club in Bridgewater, the home course for Bridgewater-Raritan High School High School, is the venue where the NJSIAA Tournament of Champions is played.
Vaidehi Shah, a senior who won the Skyland Conference championship this spring, and her freshman sister Yashvi will be in the field of 50 girl golfers who seek the state title. They qualified by finishing in the top 50.
Vaidehi finished eighth and Yashvi placed 44th.
A total of nine schools will compete for the team championship. Bridgewater-Raritan missed qualifying for the Tournament of Champions by one stroke. The Pingry School, Wardlaw-Hartridge School and Princeton High School were the teams that advanced out of Bridgewater-Raritan's Central Jersey section.
