The Pysanky Easter Egg craft is back this year again on Monday, March 25th, at 5:30pm.

During the period of Lent preceding Pascha, or Easter, Ukrainians write pysanky, or decorate eggs, using ancient symbols. From the deep past, these patterns were thought to imbue the egg with magical powers and ward away evil spirits, and they later took on Christian meanings.

Participants will make their own pysanka during this workshop using the traditional wax-resist method. This is a free program for adults and teens.

The Ukrainian History and Education Center of Somerset, New Jersey presents this program.

Registration is required as space is limited due to supplies. Use this link to register= https://raritanlibrary.libcal.com/event/11223221
