Somerset County Sheriff's Office - Fire Started from Batteries in Recycling Pick Up

Sheriff Darrin J Russo and the Somerset County Sheriff's Office remind you to use caution to not place batteries in your regular recycling pickup.

"These are real pictures of a real fire that started in a Somerset County Recycling truck because batteries were included in the recycling. Please, for the safety of our recycling folks and your neighborhood, do not put batteries in your bi-monthly recycling.
