RVCC Nursing Students, Faculty Volunteer to Assist Those Struggling with Food Insecurity
Members of Raritan Valley Community College’s Student Nurses Association (SNA), joined by RVCC Nursing faculty, recently showed their dedication to the community and helping others by volunteering at America's Grow-A-Row farm in Milford.
“Braving the storm to harvest corn,” the students and faculty worked alongside other volunteers through the rain and harvested (picked) 4,500 pounds of corn. Their efforts helped provide 18,000 servings of farm fresh produce to those struggling with food insecurity.
According to its mission, America's Grow-A-Row strives to impact lives through a volunteer effort of planting, picking, rescuing, and delivering free fresh produce.
