Raritan Borough Police Department - Crime Watch for November 2024

Recent Theft and Shoplifting charges: -On November 11th, 2024, arrest warrants were issued Malika Thompson, 25, of Somerset, Jerrie Williams, 27, of Bound Brook and Dnea Heyward, 28, of Plainfield after a shoplifting report that was taken at Burlington Coat Factory. 

On June 29th, 2024, Raritan patrol officers were dispatched to Burlington Coat Factory after employees observed five people concealing items in the store. The five suspects fled before police arrived on scene. Through surveillance footage and other investigative means, the three were identified as suspects in the theft which totaled nearly $600.00. -On November 11th, 2024, Raritan patrol officers were dispatched to the Dollar Tree on Orlando Drive for a shoplifting report. On scene, officers learned that a woman had stolen $150.00 worth of gum and fled the store. As a result of a subsequent investigation, Doreen Jackson, 60, of Manville, was charged with Shoplifting and ordered to appear in court. 

-On December 2nd, 2024, Tabitha Dix, 37 of Virginia Beach and Charese Brice, 38, of Somerset, were each charged with theft by deception, stemming from an incident in 2022. 

On September 19th, 2022, Raritan patrol officers were dispatched to a business on Old York Road for a report of fraudulent bank activity. 

Officers learned that fraudulent checks were cashed from the account totaling $1,300.00. Through the issuance of bank subpoenas by the Criminal Investigation Division, Dix and Brice were identified as suspects.
