RideWise continues to demonstrate its commitment to community safety and mobility by partnering with the Brain Injury Alliance (BIA) to deliver an informative and engaging safety program for older adults at the Bridgewater Wellness Center. The collaborative presentation focused on pedestrian and bicycle safety, as well as safe driving practices, reinforcing the importance of awareness and prevention for aging road users.

Timed to coincide with Older Driver Safety Awareness Week (December 1–5), the program addressed the unique challenges older adults may face as age-related changes affect vision, reaction time, mobility, and overall driving confidence. Team members from RideWise and BIA shared practical strategies, safety tips, and real-world scenarios designed to help participants remain safe, mobile, and independent.

The session emphasized that safe transportation is essential to maintaining quality of life. By educating older adults on how to adapt their driving habits, stay alert as pedestrians, and practice safe cycling behaviors, RideWise and BIA empowered attendees with knowledge they can apply every day.

This partnership reflects RideWise’s ongoing mission to promote safer roads for all users while supporting older adults in navigating their communities with confidence. Through education, collaboration, and outreach, RideWise continues to play a vital role in enhancing safety and mobility for residents across the region.
