Community Reminder: ANCHOR Filing Open Until November 2, 2026
New Jersey residents still have time to apply for the 2025 Affordable New Jersey Communities for Homeowners and Renters (ANCHOR) benefit — but the deadline is coming up fast. You can file now through November 2, 2026.
ANCHOR provides property tax relief for New Jersey residents who own or rent their primary home and meet the program’s income limits. This year’s benefit is based on your residency, income, and age from 2025.
Who Has Already Been Filed For
The State has already filed on behalf of:
- Most eligible homeowners under age 65
- Homeowners not receiving Social Security Disability or Railroad Retirement Disability benefits
- Most eligible renters of all ages
If you fall into one of these groups, you should have received an ANCHOR Benefit Confirmation Letter on August 10, 2026. That letter confirms your filing and explains your benefit.
Who Still Needs to Apply
You should file on your own if:
- You did not receive the August 10 confirmation letter
- You believe you meet the eligibility requirements
- You are a senior or
- You receive Social Security Disability or Railroad Retirement Disability benefits
Seniors and residents receiving disability benefits can apply now using the PAS‑1 combined application.
