Hello, Somerset County neighbors — and to everyone discovering our corner of New Jersey for the first time, welcome.
Garden State Neighbors is your community guide to what’s happening across all of Somerset County. From our walkable downtowns and historic neighborhoods to our parks, schools, small businesses, and local events, this publication highlights the people and places that make our county one of the most vibrant in the state.
Raritan Borough continues to shine as a diverse, growing community with a lively downtown and family‑friendly energy — but it’s just one part of the story. Somerset County is a collection of unique towns, each with its own character, traditions, and local pride. Through Garden State Neighbors, you’ll see features from Bound Brook to Bridgewater, Franklin to Hillsborough, Somerville to North Plainfield, and everywhere in between.
You’ll find coverage of:
• Community news and celebrations
• Local businesses and dining
• Recreation and family activities
• Travel, trends, and hidden gems
• Neighborhood updates and alerts
• Stories that bring our towns together
Your suggestions, good news, alerts, and updates help shape this publication. Garden State Neighbors grows because our community does — and I’m grateful to share these stories with you.
Thanks for being here.
