BOUND BROOK MAN ARRESTED FOR AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A MINOR BOUND BROOK, N.J. – Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor and Borough of Bound Brook Acting Chief of Police Richard Colombaroni announced the arrest of Lenic S. Galvin, age 20, of Linden Avenue, Bound Brook, New Jersey in relation to a sexual assault involving a minor in Bound Brook.Prosecutor McDonald stated that on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office received information that a 12-year-old victim was alleging that she was sexually assaulted in Bound Brook by an unknown male who she met on social media. The investigation into the alleged sexual assault was conducted by detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Unit and detectives from the Bound Brook Borough Police Department. The 12-year-old female was interviewed by a detective from the Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit. The victim stated that she met an unknown male on social media, whom was later identified as Lenic Galvin. Galvin arranged for transportation for the victim to his residence where he sexually assaulted her. On Wednesday, July 27, 2022, as a result of this investigation, Defendant Galvin was arrested without incident in Bound Brook and charged with 1st degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, 2nd degree Sexual Assault by Contact and 3rd degree Endangering the Welfare of a Minor. Defendant Galvin was lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.Prosecutor McDonald, Chief Fodor and Acting Chief Colombaroni request anyone with information relating to the sexual assault to contact the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Unit at (908) 231-7100 or the Bound Brook Police Department at (732) 356-0800 or via the STOPit app. The STOPit app allows citizens to provide anonymous reports including videos and photos.
