Bridgewater-Raritan High School Student Sophie Avila Awarded Artist of Promise

Sophie Avila, who will be a senior this fall at Bridgewater-Raritan High School, is the recipient of the Artist of Promise award. This award grants a four-year scholarship of $25,000 per year from the University of Hartford’s Art School.

Sarah Nasson, her Art Teacher at Bridgewater-Raritan High School, submitted Sophie’s works this May to the Artist of Promise competition at the University of Hartford, and they received the news this week of July 8.
