ICYMI - Raritan Borough Police - Announces Arrests to the Public

Notable recent arrests:

On June 24, 2025, Jeremy Booker, 39, of Harding Court Raritan, was charged with Terroristic Threats, Harassment, Simple Assault, and Disorderly Conduct as a result of an incident that occurred in Raritan on May 13, 2025. 

On May 13, 2025, Raritan patrol officers received a report that a male, later identified as Booker, had confronted students getting off a school bus over an incident with his daughter. During the course of the incident, Booker threatened several of the students and attempted to strike one. The incident was recorded on a bus surveillance camera. A warrant was then issued for the arrest of Booker. During our investigation, our department was contacted by the Pennsylvania State Board of Parole advising they would be issuing a detainer warrant as Booker violated the terms of his parole for a homicide conviction. 

On July 7, 2025, the Somerville Police Department arrested Booker on our warrant during a traffic stop and he was lodged in the Somerset County Jail. On June 30, 2025, Harry Monroe, 66, of Bridgeton, was charged with Exhibiting a False Government Document, Forgery and Conspiracy to Commit Theft. The charges are a result of an investigation by our Criminal Investigation Division. On February 2, 2025, the Criminal Investigation Division received a notification from the Wilmington Police Department in North Carolina that a resident of Wilmington was the victim of a fraud at the PNC Bank in Raritan. An investigation revealed Monroe utilized a fraudulent identification to cash a check belonging to the victim. A warrant has been issued for Monroe’s arrest. The Garfield Police Department and Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in Pennsylvania assisted in the investigation. 

On July 4, 2025, at 7:42 p.m., Rebecca Cadet, 26, of Newark, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated following a traffic stop on First Ave. Officers also discovered that Cadet had a warrant for her arrest issued by the City of Newark for Driving While Intoxicated. Cadet was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, open container of alcohol, reckless driving, careless driving, unclear license plates, tinted windows, obstructing traffic and driving with a suspended license. Cadet was released pending a court appearance

On July 7, 2025 at 6:22 p.m., Raritan patrol officers were dispatched to a residence on Frelinghuysen Ave for an assault. As a result of an investigation, a 30-year-old Raritan man was arrested for Simple Assault under the Domestic Violence Guidelines. The male was later lodged at the Somerset County Jail and released the following day. 

On July 9, 2025, at 1:04 p.m., Raritan patrol officers responded to the intersection of Route 202 and Ortho Drive for a motor vehicle accident with injury. On scene, officers determined that a Ford F-350 with an attached landscaping trailer driven by Fredy Quinteros-Callejas, 45, of Plainfield, had rear ended a 2013 Dodge Ram driven by a 64-year-old Raritan man. Officers determined that Quinteros-Callejas had operated his vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and he was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Quinteros-Callejas received summonses for driving while intoxicated, following too close, careless driving, reckless driving and an open container of alcohol. He was later released pending a court appearance. The Raritan man was transported to a local hospital with a neck injury.
