As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we are proud to highlight the growing partnership between the Montgomery Township Police Department and Bridgeway Behavioral Health Services—a collaboration that is bringing compassionate, real‑time support to residents through the ARRIVE Together Program.
The Alternative Responses to Reduce Instances of Violence and Escalation (ARRIVE) Together Program pairs a Crisis Intervention Training (CIT)–certified police officer with a licensed mental health clinician. Together, this co‑response team provides immediate assistance during mental health emergencies while also offering follow‑up care, outreach, and connections to ongoing services.
This model represents far more than a new program. ARRIVE Together reflects a cultural shift in how communities understand and respond to mental health needs. Instead of relying solely on traditional law‑enforcement responses, the program emphasizes proactive, person‑centered, and compassionate care—meeting individuals where they are and ensuring they receive the support they deserve.
