AT&T Contributes $21,000 to Support County Vocational‑Technical Graduates Pursuing Technology Careers

TRENTON, N.J. — The NJAC Foundation has announced that AT&T has once again made a generous contribution of $21,000 to support county vocational‑technical school graduates across New Jersey. The funding will provide one $1,000 scholarship in each of the state’s 21 counties for students planning to study technology or cybersecurity at a county or state college or university this fall.

Scholarship recipients must be nominated by their school superintendent and intend to pursue a certificate or degree in cybersecurity, information systems, data analytics, database management, computer science, or a related field.

“On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the NJAC Foundation, I’m grateful to AT&T for providing our county vocational‑technical school graduates with the unique opportunity to advance their education at home in the Garden State,” said NJAC Foundation President Teri O’Connor. AT&T’s Commitment to Expanding Opportunity

AT&T’s contribution reflects its long‑standing commitment to education, digital equity, and community investment. Through its AT&T Connected Learning® initiative, the company supports connectivity, digital literacy, and educational resources to help students succeed in and out of the classroom.

Since 2008, AT&T has invested in programs that support millions of students nationwide, with a particular focus on underserved communities. The company recently announced an additional $3 billion commitment by 2030 to help close the digital divide — bringing its total investment to $5 billion since 2021.

AT&T has been part of New Jersey’s communications landscape for 118 years, investing more than $1.9 billion in network infrastructure between 2019 and 2023.

“There’s a great need for employees who have strong technology skills in New Jersey and around the country,” said Jaci Kator, Regional Vice President of External Affairs for AT&T Services, Inc. “We’re glad to team up with NJAC to help prepare the next generation of technology leaders in New Jersey.”
