Jessica Paolini was nominated by the Administrator's Office for a Professional Achievement Award .At their meeting on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, the Somerset County Board of County Commissioners highlighted several important May observances, recognizing the vital contributions and histories that shape the community. The Commissioners presented a Professional Achievement Award to Jessica Paolini, Director of Economic Development. Paolini was honored for her leadership, dedication, and ongoing efforts to strengthen Somerset County’s economic vitality. Her work continues to support local businesses, attract new opportunities, and enhance the county’s long‑term growth.
The Board issued proclamations for Mental Health Awareness Month, Historic Preservation Month, and Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month.

Somerset County is home to more than 70,000 residents of AANHPI ancestry who make significant contributions in arts and culture, business, civic engagement, faith, leadership programs, mentorships, and volunteering.
Each proclamation underscored the County’s commitment to supporting residents’ well‑being, preserving local history, and celebrating the diverse cultures that enrich Somerset County.

This year’s Mental Health Awareness Month theme, #MoreGoodDaysTogether, invites all of us to pause and reflect on what a “good day” truly looks like — for ourselves and for the people around us. By understanding what supports our well‑being, we can better recognize when others may need encouragement, connection, or resources.
