The Bridgewater-Raritan High School boys’ swim team closed out its undefeated season with a decisive victory and a state title, earning the program’s fifth Group A State Championship on Wednesday, February 25, at the Neptune Aquatic Center.

Ranked No. 1 in New Jersey, Bridgewater-Raritan delivered a commanding performance against Somerset County rival and fourth‑ranked Hillsborough High School, securing a 108–62 win to claim the championship. The victory capped a remarkable 12–0 season for Coach Evan Seavey’s team and marked the Panthers’ first state title since 2018.

Their path to the championship included a dominant 130–40 semifinal win over No. 15 Ridgewood High School, underscoring the team’s depth, consistency, and competitive strength throughout the season. Hillsborough concluded its season at 10–2, with both losses coming against Bridgewater-Raritan.

The success continued in the same pool that morning, where the Bridgewater-Raritan girls’ team, ranked No. 3 in the state, earned its own Group A victory with a 102.5–67.5 win over No. 10 Cherry Hill East. Under Coach Chris Levin, the girls finished the season 12–1 and celebrated their sixth state championship and first since 2019.

Together, the boys’ and girls’ teams delivered a memorable sweep for the district, reinforcing Bridgewater-Raritan’s long-standing reputation as one of New Jersey’s premier swimming programs.
