Apple Montessori Hillsborough Officially Opens New Inground Saltwater Pool

Summer camp at Apple Montessori Schools is in full swing, and students are enjoying their journey. The Montessori lessons, crafts, and games in Road Trip USA explore various location-based themes cooking, STEM activities, robotics, and more.

In addition to its numerous summer activities, Apple Montessori's swim program is now officially offered at its Hillsborough campus.

The program includes swim lessons taught by Red Cross-certified instructors.

Children are tested at the beginning of their summer camp season to determine their competency in water and individual swim skill levels. During swim lessons at Apple Montessori, children are kept in a 1:4 ratio; during free swim, children are counted every 10 minutes.

Furthermore, the school's Admin team has access to live feeds from cameras at the pool for additional supervision. The swim program not only enhances students' physical fitness but also boosts their confidence and safety in the water. Learning to swim helps children develop essential life skills, such as coordination and discipline. Moreover, the structured swim lessons provide a fun way for students to socialize and build friendships.
