Ariana Jain Named SCVTHS Student of the Month for November 2024

BRIDGEWATER – Ariana Jain of Hillsborough, a Freshman in the Business, Entrepreneurship, & Management program at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School (SCVTHS), has been selected as Student of the Month for November 2024. Ariana is the daughter of Vikash Jain and Vijayata Sanghvi of Hillsborough.

Mr. Jeffrey Donaldson, Ariana’s Algebra instructor, cited her willingness to volunteer when help is needed, her participation in classroom activities, and her overall performance and demeanor in class as some of his reasons for nominating her for the honor.

Ariana is very active at SCVTHS. She is the historian for the school’s chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and is a delegate for SkillsUSA, preparing for Business Management and Technology competition. She Is also a member of the Red Cross Club, UNICEF, the SCVTHS Business/Stock Exchange Club, and the TEEEM Club.

When she’s not at school, Ariana enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, visiting New York City, going for runs, and volunteering with Hillsborough’s Extended School Year program over the summer. She is also a competitive swimmer, and practices five days a week. When she graduates from SCVTHS, Ariana would like to pursue a degree in business, hopefully at NYU.

Ariana was very grateful for being named Student of the Month. “I would like to thank my teachers for supporting me and giving me this opportunity to help me succeed” she said.

Ariana will be honored for her achievement at the Somerset County Vocational Board of Education meeting on Monday, November 25th.
