As winter settles over Somerset County, the Somerset Valley Players are offering residents the perfect reason to step out of the cold and into an evening of pure comedic escape. Their latest production invites audiences to join the Sisters of Perpetual Sewing—a spirited group whose well‑intentioned mischief sets the stage for a classic farce filled with quick twists, heartfelt moments, and plenty of laughter.
The story centers on two nuns who have been secretly crafting homemade wine to keep their convent afloat.
What follows is a lively farce where wine isn’t the only thing spilling—so are secrets, emotions, and long‑buried connections.
The production runs weekends from January 16 through February 1, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM and Sundays at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $24 for adults and $22 for seniors and students, making it an accessible outing for families, friends, and theater lovers alike.
The show is proudly sponsored by JML Landscaping Inc., a longtime supporter of local arts.
For those looking to shake off the winter chill, reconnect with community, or simply enjoy a night of laughter, Somerset Valley Players’ newest production offers a warm and spirited escape.
