Manville Board of Education Announces Resignation of Dr. Jamil Maroun
The Manville School District is entering a period of transition following the resignation of Superintendent Dr. Jamil Maroun, who has served the community for the past decade. Dr. Maroun first joined the district as Principal of Roosevelt School before moving into the role of Assistant Superintendent and, ultimately, Superintendent for the last five years. His leadership has guided Manville through meaningful growth, strengthened programs, and expanded opportunities for students and staff.
As the district begins the search for its next superintendent, the Board of Education has emphasized its preparedness and experience in overseeing this process. Board members have received training in superintendent search and evaluation procedures, and several have previously participated in similar appointments. Dr. Maroun will continue to support the district throughout the transition.
The Board remains committed to selecting a leader who will build on the district’s strong foundation and continue advancing its goals. For now, the community reflects with gratitude on Dr. Maroun’s decade of service and wishes him well as he begins his next chapter.
