Visit “Stalls, Sweets, and Treats,” a free, spooktacular Halloween event for ghouls and goblins of all ages. The event will take place, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, at the Stable at Lord Stirling Park, 256 S. Maple Ave., Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.

The Halloween celebration provides a family-friendly atmosphere where kids can trick-or-treat through the barn, and people of all ages will enjoy horses in costumes, stall decorations, and voting for the “Best Horse Costume.” There will also be games and activities on the stable grounds, such as “Create a Bat” craft-making. The public should wear their creepiest costumes to the event.

About The Stable at Lord Stirling Park

The Stable at Lord Stirling Park has barns, an indoor arena, an equestrian bridle path, and multi-use trails. In March of 2024, a connector trail was developed between the hiking trails at the Environmental Education Center and the equestrian trails at the Stable in Lord Stirling Park. Private horse owners can purchase an annual trail permit and venture onto Lord Stirling Park to explore 14 miles of well-groomed trails.
