On 10/02/22 at approximately 12:56 PM, Tazmir Villalongo-Wilson (age 23) from Westfield, NJ was stopped for shoplifting at Target, located at 200 Promenade Boulevard. Villalongo-Wilson stole store merchandise valued at $145.36. A complaint summons was completed and Villalongo-Wilson was released with a pending court appearance.

On 10/07/22 at 8:24 PM, Otto Rene Arias Cabrera (age 42) of Bound Brook, NJ was arrested for DWI. A concerned citizen had reported that Cabrera had been driving erratically and then pulled into the parking lot of Pep Boys on Union Avenue. Officers located Cabrera parked in the Pep Boys lot. Cabrera was issued the following summonses: DWI, Careless Driving, Unlicensed Driver and Reckless Driving. He was released with a pending court appearance.

On 10/09/22, a victim reported that their vehicle had been burglarized while parked in the lot of the Lifetime Fitness, located at 145 Commons Way. The victim had parked their vehicle in the lot and when they returned to the vehicle they found two rings were missing out of the center console. The victim believed the vehicle had been locked while they were in Lifetime.

On 09/04/22 at 1:30 AM, Christopher Ramos Hernandez (age 28) of Hillsborough, NJ was arrested for DWI after a motor vehicle stop on Route 206. Hernandez was issued the following summonses: DWI, Failure to Maintain Lane, Unlicensed Driver and Reckless Driving. He was released with a pending court appearance.

On 09/09/22, a victim reported their vehicle had been burglarized while parked in the lot of Shake Shack, located at 610 Commons Way. The victim advised that their vehicle had been parked in the parking lot and was locked. The actor (s) broke the driver side door lock in order to enter the vehicle and removed the victim’s laptop computer and iPad from the interior.

On 09/11/22, a resident of Washington Valley Road reported their vehicle had been burglarized. The victim advised that their vehicle had been parked in their driveway and was unlocked. The unknown actor(s) entered the vehicle and removed the victim’s cellular telephone from the center console.

On 09/13/22, a resident of Maple Street reported their vehicle had been burglarized. The victim advised that their vehicle had been parked in their driveway and was unlocked. The actor entered the vehicle and removed the victim’s purse from the passenger side front seat.

On 09/15/22, a victim reported that their vehicle had been burglarized while parked in the lot of Seasons 52, located at 410 Commons Way. The victim had parked their vehicle in the lot on the evening of 9/14/22, while having dinner. It was not until 9/15/22 that they noticed their laptop and two pairs of sunglasses missing from the vehicle. It is believed that an unknown actor (s) removed the items from the vehicle while it was parked in the Seasons 52 lot.

On 09/17/22, a resident of Beaumonte Way reported their 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee had been stolen. The vehicle had been parked in the victim’s driveway and the doors were locked.

On 09/21/22, a township resident fell victim to a theft by deception scam. The victim had received a pop up message on their computer that informed them there was a security breach. The victim was informed their bank account had been compromised and told they must wire a large sum of money to an unidentified source, in order to correct the issue. The victim complied and later learned they had become the victim of a scam.

On 09/26/22 at 6:44 PM, Hector Matzatzcolaj (age 22) of Plainfield, NJ was arrested for DWI after he was found asleep in his running vehicle which was parked in a lot off of Union Avenue. Matzatzcolaj was issued the following summonses: DWI, Careless Driving, Unlicensed Driver and Open Container of Alcohol in a Vehicle. He was released with a pending court appearance.

On 09/27/22, a resident from Williamson Court reported that the temporary license plate was stolen from the rear of their new vehicle. The vehicle had been parked in the lot directly in front of their residence.

On 09/27/22, a resident from Bridgewater Avenue reported the theft of the catalytic converter from their vehicle. The vehicle had been parked on the street directly in front of their residence.

On 09/27/22 at approximately 5:56 PM, William Clevon Dewitt (age 31) from Elizabeth, NJ was stopped for shoplifting at Target, located at 200 Promenade Boulevard. Dewitt damaged $798.30 in merchandise by removing security sensors. A complaint summons was completed and Dewitt was released with a pending court appearance.

On 09/30/22 at approximately 3:19 PM, Ana Alfaro-Rojas (age 43) from Bound Brook, NJ and Madelay Schroeder (age 40) of Warren, NJ were stopped for shoplifting at Target, located at 200 Promenade Boulevard. Alfaro-Rojas and Schroeder selected $221.17 worth of merchandise but failed to scan all items at checkout. They only paid $43.17 and then exited the store. Complaint summonses were completed and they were released with a pending court appearance.
