From the News Release:

The Ambassadors of Love Songs are appearing at the Brook Arts Center on March 12 at 3 pm.

The classic "doo-wop" group The Duprees formed in the early 1960s on a street corner in Jersey City, New Jersey. The original group was discovered by George Paxton of Coed Records, who was impressed with their smooth vocal quality. In August 1962, they released their first record “You Belong To Me”, which became the group's biggest hit.

More hits followed, including “My Own True Love,” “Have You Heard?”

“The Sand and the Sea” “Ginny” and “Let Them Talk.”

The group quickly became an international sensation and has continued  to entertain audiences for more than six decades. Although members  have changed throughout the years, one thing that hasn’t changed is the sound, showmanship, and dedication to bringing favorite classics to audiences of all ages!

Tommy Petillo, Phil Granito, & Jimmy Spinelli

are today's Duprees!

Phil Granito has been with the band since 1987 and does a show-stopping Jackie Wilson medley. Jimmy Spinelli, a member since 1989, is known for his high energy, and Tommy Petillo, was the last lead singer to perform with the original Duprees. His vocals are considered the voice, essence of the heart, and soul, of the Duprees.

Together, they will present all the songs you know and love!
