Buddy is back lookin’ for his furever home. Buddy is a very good boy!
He was adopted and recently returned due to no fault of his own. The resident dogs ultimately did not accept Buddy. Buddy is a 2 1/2 year old Beagle who spent time in the home of Volunteer Linda.
Here’s what she reports:
“Buddy really loves to play ball! He would fetch it and bring it back to me to throw over and over. He also enjoys playing with stuffies especially the ones that squeak! He retrieves them too but chews them up a bit. Buddy seems to know to sit and wants to please. He likes belly rubs too! Buddy followed me all around and was friendly to my husband too. It’s amazing how quickly he bonded to us. He didn’t pee or poop in the house except once overnight right on the wee pads.
Buddy slept well overnight in his bed. He was nervous at first in the car, but settled down quickly. He’s very inquisitive and smart. He explored every corner of every room as soon as we got inside. Outside he likes to smell everything. He pulls on leash at times but does well on a harness. The only time Buddy barked was at squirrels. He definitely has prey drive when it comes to squirrels. Buddy will add joy to a family. I hope he gets adopted soon!”
Come meet Buddy at Somerset Regional Animal Shelter. We’re open daily 12-3:30 pm
