Altman campaign responds to news making Sue Altman presumptive Democratic nominee
Sue Altman has released the following statement in response to news that she has become the presumptive Democratic nominee in the race to defeat Tom Kean Jr. in New Jersey’s Seventh Congressional District:
I’m thrilled that New Jersey Democrats — from labor to local leaders to grassroots volunteers — are uniting behind our campaign to take back the 7th Congressional District from a guy who is not doing his job. From his votes on abortion to his vote for radical Speaker Mike Johnson, Tom Kean Jr. has consistently voted against Jersey values in Washington. He is an empty suit, enabling a radical agenda that hurts many of us. He does not hold town halls, he is invisible, he isn’t working hard. This district is our home, and we deserve better representation.
It is the honor of my life to run to represent the teachers, coaches, friends and leaders who I’ve known my whole life and who have raised me with the values I bring with me today. I’ve spent my career fighting corruption to make New Jersey a state that works for all of us- not just the politically connected and those born into political power- and I am eager to take on Tom Kean Jr.
New Jersey has no patience for a self serving career politician who has always put his own interests above those of his constituents.
