Raritan Borough Police Department Shares a Scam Alert for Residents
Recently, a victim from Raritan gave money to a Fitzpatrick Construction to perform work on his roof. The company happened to advise they were working in the area and would give a cheap price. After giving the “company” 1,500.00, they ripped off some fascia from the roof and stated they would not be coming back. The company is not licensed or insured. Our Criminal Investigation Division is in the process of identifying the suspects. We would like to remind you to do some research before you hire a contractor.
Ask for recommendations from family and friends. Research listings on a reputable website such as Angie’s List.
Residents are advised to check and double check online and more before giving money for work done on their property.
