Borough of Raritan Mayor Nicolas Carra Appointed to the New Jersey Commission on National and Community Service

The Raritan GOP is excited to announce that Borough of Raritan Mayor Nicolas Carra has been appointed by Governor Phil Murphy to the prestigious New Jersey Commission on National and Community Service. This appointment recognizes Mayor Carra’s dedication to public service and his commitment to improving the lives of residents in New Jersey.

The New Jersey Commission on National and Community Service plays a vital role in promoting volunteerism, community engagement, and national service initiatives across the state. As a member of this commission, Mayor Carra will contribute his expertise and leadership to advance programs that address critical needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment.

Mayor Carra has served Raritan since he was 20 years old. He was first elected as a councilman in 2016, serving seven years on the Borough Council. His peers chose him to serve as Council President four times in a row, from 2020 to 2023. This experience brings a wealth of knowledge to this significant role. His passion for community development, economic growth, and civic participation will undoubtedly enhance the commission’s efforts to create positive change throughout New Jersey.
