Somerset Regional Animal Shelter: Oliver Desperately Needs a Furever Home

Oliver's story:

Introducing, the amazing Oliver - the toughest 4-month-old kitten you'll ever meet. Oliver was rescued four months ago at 1/2 pound, soaking wet and starving in a parking lot with his brother. To survive, he ate anything he could find and ended up impacted with garbage causing damage to his intestines and lower GI tract. After a few vet appointments, some medication, and no improvement he found some relief through a procedure performed by a GI specialist. He is now medication-free and healing naturally. He eats, drinks, and uses the litter box with no problem at all. It has taken him four months to get here. Even during the most painful vet appointments, he was still filled with love and affection for his foster families (he has had two due to his long healing process.)

He is the definition of a lap cat. He loves people and loves other cats. It's hard to believe he still trusts and loves his humans unconditionally after all he's been through, but he truly does. He is a total love bug. He is playful and fun, and a handsome long and lean fella. Oliver won't do well to go back to the shelter at this point. He needs to go from foster to his forever family. He can't endure the stress of another big change which could potentially set back his recovery. He needs a special family who will be patient and let him continue to heal. His care would possibly entail a wet wipe once in a while but not often. He is used to it and good about it. He is neutered and up to date on all his shots. His foster mom has had 150 cats and kittens and said he is one of her all-time favorites. He is an amazing kitten with so much love to give. He is overdue to find his fur-ever family.
